Our Mission

Soon after establishing residence in San Antonio, TX as a missionary and psychiatrist, Dr. Femi Popoola was struck by the human needs of the community he served with the gospel of Christ. Alongside his brother, Dr. Oluwole Popoola, also a psychiatrist and an addiction physician, they sought to bridge these needs by establishing Mastermind Recovery. Through this organization, they hope to help people struggling with substance use, break the shackles of addiction in the name of Christ and meet the needs of the homeless without discrimination.

Mastermind Recovery aims to reintegrate into society people who struggle with homelessness and/or substance use and its consequences by providing services tailored to their unique needs, led by people with lived experiences, motivated by the unconditional love of Christ and a deep commitment to community.
