Women and thier children are not a forgotten demographic at MMR. Our efforts are geared towards empowering not just mothers, but also their children. We utilize leaders and mentors with lived experiences who are motivated to do what it takes to build the women and children in our program.
Specialized Support for Women and Children in Crisis
Nearly 40% of homeless single mothers in the US suffer from depression, and 75% of homeless women with children have experienced domestic violence (samhsa.gov, 2023). Violence, starvation, women’s health and wellness, and children’s mental and physical health are all important issues that affect the future of this population. Our growing team currently consists of a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, addiction psychiatrist, therapists, case managers, licensed chemical dependency counselors, recovery coaches, pastors, and other compassionate individuals who want to offer all the help there is for women and their children.

Transitional Housing for Women and Children
MMR provides stability for mothers and their babies in transitional living houses. These unique houses provide women in recovery and chance to raise their children in a safe, serene, supervised and family-friendly sober environment.

Mastermind Sober Living for Women and their Children - Noah's Ark
Noah’s Ark is Mastermind Recovery’s dedicated sober living home for women and their children. It’s a 12-bedroom, 8-bathroom residence in San Antonio, TX designed to support women and their children (up to age 11) as they rebuild their lives after addiction, domestic violence, and/or homelessness. This beautiful quadplex offers more than just shelter. It provides stability, accountability, mentorship, case management, supervision, mental health care, and a Christ-centered community where women and their children can grow, heal, and thrive. We’re currently raising $150,000 to sponsor incoming residents and build a playground where children can feel joy, safety, and freedom. Noah's Ark is not just a program. It's a promise! Mastermind is committed to the quality care of women and children, and we want to see other women and children experience positive self-growth in all areas of life. Although Mastermind is faith-based, we offer a purely secular track for all other services excluding spiritual. Spiritual services are there for those who choose to use them, but they are not a requirement to be approved for our women and children’s transitional housing.
